How to charge the bike battery?
Charging the battery
Charge regularly — there's no need to wait until the battery is completely empty. Partial charges are perfectly fine for lithium-ion batteries. A full charge typically provides between 40 and 80 km of range, depending on the assist level, terrain, and weather conditions.
Torks bikes come with a removable battery and a charger. You have two options for charging:
- Leaving the battery on the bike: if you have a 230V outlet near your parking spot, you can plug the bike in directly. This method should only be used in a sheltered location, protected from the elements.
- Removing the battery: you can take the battery home or to the office and plug it into a standard 230V outlet using the supplied charger. Use your battery key to unlock and remove it from the frame. Connect it to the charger provided in your accessory pouch, preferably indoors.
Maintenance and storage
- Avoid extreme temperatures — do not leave the battery in direct sunlight or exposed to prolonged frost. Store it in a dry, temperate place.
- During extended periods of non-use — if you won't be riding for several weeks, store the battery charged to about 50–70% in a cool, dry place.
