How do I adjust the handlebars?

Height and angle: adjust the handlebars of your Torks bike for a comfortable riding position.

Adjusting the bike to your size

Before hitting the road, take a few minutes to adjust your bike. Proper setup improves comfort, pedalling efficiency, and helps prevent aches and pains. You will find the Allen keys (also known as hex keys) you need in your accessory pouch.

Handlebar height

To adjust the handlebar height, there is an Allen bolt on the stem (the part connecting the handlebars to the steerer tube):

  1. Loosen the bolt a few turns (without removing it completely).
  2. Pull the handlebars upwards or push them downwards to change the height. A higher position gives a more upright and comfortable riding posture; a lower position favours a more sporty stance.
  3. Tighten the bolt firmly. Check that the handlebars no longer move by holding them firmly and trying to twist them.

Handlebar angle

To change the angle of the handlebars (tilt them towards you or away from you):

  1. Locate the 4 Allen bolts on the front face of the stem, where the handlebar is clamped.
  2. Slightly loosen all 4 bolts evenly.
  3. Rotate the handlebars to the desired angle. The brake levers should remain easily accessible.
  4. Tighten the 4 bolts in a cross pattern (top left, then bottom right, etc.) to ensure even clamping. Check that the handlebars are firmly fixed.
If you are unsure about your adjustments, feel free to contact the Torks team. We can guide you or make the adjustments during a service appointment.
